Faculty of Science, Tanta University Organizes an Awareness Seminar Titled “Supporting Orphans as a Righteous Deed and a Means of Protecting Society”

   In the context of the societal role undertaken by the Faculty of Science — Tanta University, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the Education and Students Affairs Sector, organized an awareness seminar titled “Honoring Orphans as a Righteous Deed and a Means of Protecting Society.” This was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and under the supervision of Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean; Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs.

   For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean, affirmed that organizing such seminars reflects the faculty’s commitment to raising students’ social awareness and instilling noble humanitarian values that contribute to shaping well-rounded individuals capable of serving the community.

   Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, also affirmed that the faculty places great importance on activating its societal role through organizing awareness activities that promote a culture of social solidarity and support the most vulnerable groups.

   The seminar featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Taha El-Qalla, Lecturer at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion and Da‘wah in Tanta — Al-Azhar University, who addressed the importance of caring for orphans, the virtue of supporting them in Islam, and the role this plays in enhancing social cohesion.

   This seminar was held within the framework of promoting humanitarian values and spreading the culture of social solidarity among students, thereby contributing to building a more cohesive and interconnected society.
