As part of Tanta University’s commitment to raising students’ awareness of family values and strengthening social cohesion, the Faculty of Science organized, on Monday, April 6, 2026, an awareness seminar titled “Mawadda for Preserving the Cohesion of the Egyptian Family.”
The seminar was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, and Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The event was coordinated by Mr. Ahmed Shehab, Director of Student Welfare Department, and the Student Union.
Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din affirmed that organizing this seminar reflects the Faculty of Science’s societal role, noting that the family represents the main foundation for keeping a sound society. She highlighted that instilling positive values among youth is a genuine investment in the nation’s future, highlighting the importance of raising students’ awareness of the pillars of successful family life based on mutual understanding and respect.
The seminar also underscored the significance of the Mawadda Initiative launched by the Egyptian state in promoting family awareness, reinforcing values of understanding, and reducing divorce rates, thereby supporting societal stability and development.
