A Seminar on “Energy Rationalization” at Faculty of Science — Tanta University

   As part of Tanta University’s commitment to raising community awareness and promoting a culture of optimal energy use, the Faculty of Science organized, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, an awareness seminar titled “Energy Rationalization.” The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

   The seminar was supervised by Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

    Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din affirmed that organizing this seminar aligns with the societal role played by the Faculty of Science in raising awareness of energy-related issues. Moreover, she noted that rationalizing energy consumption is no longer an option but an inevitable necessity to preserve resources and achieve sustainability, urging students to adopt positive energy-use behaviors both on and off campus.

   The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students. Its activities highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of energy conservation within the community, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals and supporting the state’s efforts to preserve energy resources.
