Today — the Seminar “Charitable Acts in Ramadan” Was Held at the Faculty of Science, Tanta University

   The Faculty of Science at Tanta University organized today, Sunday, 8 March 2026, a seminar entitled “Charitable Acts in Ramadan.” The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   The seminar was delivered by Prof. Taha El-Qalla, Professor at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion and Da‘wah in Tanta, Al-Azhar University. During the seminar, he highlighted the virtue of charitable deeds and almsgiving during the blessed month of Ramadan, and emphasized the importance of social solidarity. He also stressed the need to make the most of this holy month through acts of kindness, supporting those in need, and strengthening the values of compassion and mutual care within society.

   Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Faculty Dean, affirmed that organizing this seminar was within the framework of the faculty’s commitment to promoting humanitarian and religious values among students, and to fostering a spirit of cooperation and solidarity within the university community, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan when charitable acts are greatly multiplied.
