In the framework of supporting national initiatives aimed at enhancing the Egyptian citizen and promoting a culture of lifelong learning, the Faculty of Science – Tanta University announces its participation in the National Reading Project, one of the leading national initiatives dedicated to fostering a culture of reading, discovering talents, and strengthening national belonging, in alignment with the Egypt’s vision for achieving sustainable development.

   The faculty invites its students to participate in the “Cultured University Student” track, in support of raising awareness and enriching university culture, and in fulfillment of the faculty’s societal responsibility to support national initiatives that seek to advance the cultural and intellectual awareness of youth.

About the “Cultured University Student” Track

   Students are required to read a selection of books in Arabic and prepare electronic summaries and evaluations through the project’s platform in accordance with specified criteria. Evaluation stages begin at the faculty level, proceed to the university level, and culminate at the level of Egyptian universities nationwide.

Competition Levels and Prizes

• Silver Level: Reading 30 books — Prize of EGP 250,000

• Gold Level: Reading 50 books — Prize of EGP 500,000

• Diamond Level: Reading 100 books — Prize of EGP 1,000,000
