The Faculty of Science — Tanta University welcomed, on the morning of Monday, 16 February 2026, students of Al-Zahraa Preparatory School for Girls for an educational visit to the faculty’s Zoology and Geology Museums, in the presence of Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The visit reflects the faculty’s commitment to strengthening its societal role and promoting scientific awareness among pre-university students.
The visit included an introductory tour of the two museums, during which simplified explanations were provided regarding the exhibited animal specimens, rock samples, and geological maps. This tour contributed to enhancing the students’ scientific understanding and linking the theoretical concepts they study with practical application in an interesting and interactive manner.
The presentations were delivered by Prof. Hamza Khalil, Emeritus Professor at the Department of Geology; Ms. Esraa Mansour, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Zoology; and Ms. Heba Abdel Nasser, Demonstrator at the Department of Zoology.
The visit aligns with the faculty’s strategy to support effective communication with pre-university educational institutions, contributing to the preparation of a generation that is aware, curious, and passionate about knowledge and scientific research.
