Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the Rovers (male and female) of the Faculty of Science — Tanta University participated in the activities of the 19th Scout and Guide Festival for University Students for the Academic Year 2025–2026. This participation occurred within the framework of the university’s commitment to supporting student activities and building a well-rounded university student personality.
The participation took place under the supervision, guidance, and attendance of Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and in coordination with Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Mohamed El-Qassir, Director General of Youth Welfare; and Mr. Ahmed Shehab, Director of Youth Welfare at the faculty. The festival featured a variety of scouting and guiding activities aimed at developing students’ skills and strengthening their sense of belonging to the University.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, emphasized that Tanta University is keen to support scouting and guiding activities due to their vital role in fostering teamwork, enhancing leadership skills, and strengthening students’ sense of belonging. He noted that student participation in such events contributes to preparing a responsible and socially aware generation capable of serving the community.
For his part, Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, stated that the Scout and Guide Festival is one of the key activities that promote positive values among students and contribute to the development of their physical, intellectual, and social skills. He affirmed the Sector’s commitment to providing all necessary support for activities that help discover and develop students’ talents.
Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, expressed her pride in the participation of the faculty’s students in the festival, stressing that student activities are an integral part of the educational process and play a significant role in shaping students’ academic and behavioral development. She also praised the commitment and cooperative spirit demonstrated by the Rovers (male and female).
