On Monday, January 19, 2026, under the chairpersonship of Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean, and in the presence of Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Zenhom Al-Said, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Science Council at Tanta University honored the heads of scientific departments, Faculty Council members, and a number of former and current faculty members in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in obtaining program accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of and Education (NAQAAE).

The honorees included:

• Prof. Tarek Mustafa, former Dean of the Faculty

• Prof. Talat Maiz, former Director of the Quality Assurance Unit

• Prof. Nahla Omran, previous Director of the Quality Assurance Unit

• Prof. Sherif Hamada, Coordinator of Physics Programs

• Prof. Bassant Abdel Nagi, Coordinator of Materials Science Program

• In addition to Reham Ghazi, Shadia Abdel Monem, and Lamis Sharwida, administrative staff in the faculty's Quality Assurance Unit

   Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din affirmed that this recognition is part of the faculty's appreciation for all members of the quality assurance team and the Physics Department for their sincere efforts that contributed to obtaining program accreditation. Moreover, she highlighted the faculty's commitment to supporting the concept of quality and encouraging other departments to pursue program accreditation, thereby enhancing the faculty's and university's status and ensuring the delivery of educational programs at the highest level of quality.
