Faculty of Science Council, Tanta University, Honors Former and Current Quality Assurance Managers, and Heads and Coordinators of the Special Zoology Program, the Chemistry/Zoology Program, the Special Botany Program, and the Microbiology Program in the Departments of Zoology and Botany

      The Council of Faculty of Science at Tanta University held its meeting on Sunday, August 24, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean. During the session, the Council honored the former Faculty Dean, the former Manager of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Unit, the current Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit, together with the heads and coordinators of the Special Zoology Program, the Chemistry/Zoology Program, the Special Botany Program, and the Microbiology Program in the Departments of Zoology and Botany, in recognition of their remarkable efforts that culminated in the accreditation of these programs by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).

     The honoring ceremony was attended by Prof. Amgad Salama, Faculty Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Zenhom Salem, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with the heads of departments’ councils and members of the Faculty Council.

      Among those recognized were Prof. Tarek Mostafa Mohamed, former Faculty Dean, and Prof. Talaat Miz, former Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit. The ceremony also honored Prof. Nahla Omran, Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit and Coordinator of the Chemistry/Zoology Program, together with Prof. El-Sayed Salem, former Head of the Zoology Department Council; Prof. Ehab Tawson, current Head of the Zoology Department Council; Prof. Iman Abdel Zaher, Head of the Botany Department Council; Prof. Mona El-Gamal, Coordinator of the Special Zoology Program; and Prof. Anwar El-Badry, Coordinator of the Special Botany and Microbiology Programs; as well as Ms. Reham Ghazi, Ms. Shadia Abdel Monem, and Ms. Lamis Shroweida, administrators at the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit, for their dedicated support.

    In her speech, Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din affirmed that this recognition reflects the faculty’s deep appreciation for the valuable efforts of the Quality Assurance team in the faculty and in the departments of Zoology and Botany, whose work has enabled the programs to gain accreditation. She also declared that this honoring is intended not only as a gesture of gratitude but also as an incentive to encourage and inspire other departments to pursue program accreditation.
