As part of its commitment to promoting scientific awareness among school students and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, the Faculty of Science welcomed a delegation of students from Tanta Military Secondary School on Sunday, October 25, 2026, for an educational visit to the museums of the faculty’s Zoology Department.
The visit was attended by Prof. Zenhem Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It included a tour of the Zoology Department museums, where the students explored the diverse specimens, models, and scientific collections on display and learned about their role in supporting the educational process and enriching scientific knowledge.
Mr. Mohamed Nagi and Mr. Karim Bakr, Assistant Lecturers in the Zoology Department, provided the students with clear scientific explanations of the museum specimens and collections, highlighting their scientific and educational significance. This helped simplify scientific concepts and enhance the educational value of the visit.
The visit reflects the Faculty of Science at Tanta University’s educational and community service role and its commitment to fostering stronger communication with schools. It also provides school students with opportunities to explore various scientific disciplines and their practical applications, helping nurture their interest in scientific research and discovery.
