Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, attended the graduation ceremony of the 54th cohort of the Faculty of Science, in the presence of H.E. Anba Boulos, Bishop of Tanta and its Dependencies; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean; Prof. Abdel Aziz Abdel Dayem, former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Amgad Salem, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Atef Noweir, Head of the Scientific Professions Syndicate in Middle Delta; former deans of the faculty; heads of departments; faculty pioneers; faculty members; parents; and graduates.
In his speech, the University President affirmed that the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, is one of the university’s long-established faculties, whose history has been closely intertwined with that of the university. Over the decades, the faculty has contributed to advancing the university’s scientific and research mission and graduating generations of scientists, researchers, and qualified professionals across various scientific disciplines. He indicated that the faculty’s mission extends beyond providing basic sciences, as it plays a pivotal role in preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and enhancing the sectors of industry, production, scientific research, and technology, supported by its diverse academic programs, distinguished scientific expertise, advanced laboratories, and specialized disciplines. He congratulated the 54th cohort of Faculty of Science graduates and their families, emphasizing that graduation marks a new beginning in their journey of learning and professional life.
For his part, Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz expressed his happiness at sharing this special moment with the students and their families, confirming that graduation day represents the culmination of years of learning, hard work, and dedication, and marks a new beginning in the graduates’ lives rather than the end of the journey. He congratulated the students and their families, noting that Faculty of Science graduates possess, alongside scientific knowledge, values of responsibility, critical thinking, analysis, and research. He called on them to continue learning, develop themselves, and keep pace with scientific and technological developments, making their knowledge a means of achieving success and creating a positive impact on society, and to always be a source of pride for their families, faculty, Tanta University, and their homeland, Egypt.
For her part, Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din expressed her happiness at participating in the graduation ceremony of the faculty’s students, emphasizing that this day represents the culmination of many years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, and marks an important milestone in their academic and personal journeys. She congratulated the graduates and their families, noting that their years of study were not merely a journey toward acquiring knowledge, but rather a comprehensive experience through which they developed, alongside their scientific knowledge, values of responsibility, discipline, hard work, and dedication.
