The Faculty of Science, Tanta University, held an orientation program for new students in the 2026/2027 academic year as part of the faculty’s commitment to preparing new students for university life and introducing them to its various sectors, academic programs, and services, contributing to a successful start to their university journey.

   The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

   The program was attended by Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Tarek Amer, Head of the Department of Mathematics; Prof. Abdullah Khedr, Head of the Department of Chemistry; Prof. Youssef El-Naggar, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit; Prof. Amr Abdel Moneim, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration; Prof. Ramadan Ma’an, General Supervisor of University Hostels; Prof. Yasser Abdo, Advisor to the University President for Innovation; Prof. Hesham Hashem, Director of the Information Technology Unit; Prof. Hanaa El-Prince, Director of the Counseling Unit; Prof. Reda Jaafar, Coordinator of the Industrial Biotechnology Program; Mr. Sherif El-Zeiny, Faculty Secretary-General; Brig. Gen. Osama El-Gamal, Head of Faculty Security; Mr. Alaa Sweilam, Director of Student Affairs; and Mr. Ahmed Shehab, Director of the Youth Welfare Administration.

   In her speech, Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din welcomed the distinguished guests and the new and returning students, congratulating them on joining the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, and wishing them an academic year marked by success, excellence, and achievement.
