On the Sidelines of the Orientation Course at the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, “Salim” Campaign Holds Health Awareness Seminar to Promote Students’ Health Awareness

   As part of Tanta University’s efforts to promote health and psychological awareness among its students and encourage healthy behaviors, the “Salim” Health Awareness Campaign, in cooperation with the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, held an awareness seminar entitled “Your Choices Shape Your Health… Make Your Health Your Brand” on Monday, September 21, 2026, under the campaign’s slogan “Your Health Is Your Brand.”

  The seminar was held on the sidelines of the orientation course for new students, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Amr Abdel Moneim, General Supervisor of the University Medical Administration.

   The seminar addressed a number of awareness topics relevant to students’ lives and daily choices. Dr. Heba El-Lakkawy, Director of the Psychological Support and Health Awareness Unit, delivered a talk on the risks of social media addiction.

  Dr. Yara Fayyad introduced the University Medical Administration and the services it provides to students, as well as the “Salim” Campaign.

  Dr. Norhan Sami addressed the use of social media and smart applications and the risks associated with their uninformed use, in addition to raising awareness of excessive shopping through shopping applications.

   Dr. Sara Hossam Al-Din addressed the risks of smoking and drug use, with the aim of raising students’ awareness of behaviors that may affect their health and lives.

   The seminar was held as part of the activities of the “Salim” Health Awareness Campaign, which aims to provide students with comprehensive awareness content covering various aspects that affect their physical and psychological health. The campaign also seeks to link health awareness with daily choices and behaviors, thereby enhancing students’ ability to adopt a more conscious and healthier lifestyle.
