Tanta Faculty of Science Concludes the Activities of Level One (E1) of the Child University Program in Cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology

   As part of Tanta University’s commitment to supporting young learners and developing their capabilities while fostering scientific awareness, Tanta Faculty of Science welcomed students from the ninth and tenth phases of Level One (E1) of the Child University Program on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The event was organized in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), marking the conclusion of the activities of both phases.

   The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and under the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud Farouk Selim, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was attended by Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Prof. Zenhom El-Said, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amgad Salem Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ali Abdel Salam, Head of the Department of Physics; Prof. Samir Zaki Qamh, Coordinator of the Child University Program at Tanta University; and Dr. Eman Bakr, the faculty’s Program Coordinator.

   The training day introduced the students to renewable and non-renewable energy sources, the concept of clean energy and methods of generating it, as well as solar cells and how they convert solar energy into electrical energy, as one of the most important applications of clean energy and one of the promising energy sources of the future.

   Moreover, the activities included a visit to the Museum of the Department of Zoology at the Faculty of Science, providing the students with an educational experience that combined theoretical knowledge with practical application and contributed to fostering their spirit of exploration and scientific inquiry.

   The lectures and explanations were delivered by Prof. Yasser Abdo and Prof. Mohamed Mussaad from the Department of Physics, and Prof. Karim Bakr from the Department of Zoology.
