The Faculty Council held its 12th meeting for the 2025/2026 academic year today, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, chaired by Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean, and attended by the former Vice Presidents of the University, Heads of the academic departments, and members of the Faculty Council. 

   Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean, opened the meeting by welcoming the Council members and expressing her appreciation for their efforts and role in supporting the faculty’s progress and enhancing its academic and administrative performance.

   Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din also extended her congratulations to the faculty’s academic members and staff on the upcoming anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, wishing everyone continued goodness, prosperity, and blessings on this blessed occasion.

   As part of efforts to support competencies and strengthen institutional development, the Dean congratulated the faculty members on the decisions issued by the President of the University, which included the appointment of Prof. Abdullah Mohamed Khedr as Head of the Department of Chemistry Council, the renewal of the assignment of Prof. Samir Zaki Qamh as Director of the Faculty’s Public Service Center, and the appointment of Prof. Mohamed Mostafa El-Sheshtawy as Director of the University Center for International Rankings.

   The Dean expressed her sincere wishes for their success in their new responsibilities and for their continued contributions and excellence in ways that support the stature of the Faculty of Science and enhance its academic, research, and community role.
