As part of the Faculty of Science at Tanta University's commitment to fulfilling its community role and promoting scientific awareness, the faculty continued, on the morning of Wednesday, 15 July 2026, to welcome children from the Khair Baladna Association for Sustainable Development for the second consecutive day. The visit included an educational tour of the laboratories of the Department of Botany and was attended by Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   The visit was organized in coordination with Prof. Eman Abdel Zaher, Head of the Department of Botany. The scientific program was delivered by Dina Ibrahim and Mohamed Saqr, Demonstrators at the Department of Botany, who guided the children on an educational tour of the laboratories. They provided interactive and simplified explanations of a number of plant specimens and botanical experiments, stimulating the children's scientific curiosity and strengthening their interest in the natural sciences.

   Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, affirmed the faculty's commitment to implementing purposeful community initiatives that contribute to raising children's awareness and developing their knowledge and skills. She indicated that introducing young learners to science in laboratory settings is an important step toward nurturing a generation that values science and innovation, in line with the university's developmental mission and its commitment to community service.

   For his part, Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the continuation of these visits reflects the success of the collaboration between the faculty and civil society organizations. He highlighted the importance of providing children with opportunities to engage in hands-on educational experiences in laboratory settings, helping to deepen their scientific awareness and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
