As part of Tanta Faculty of Science's commitment to strengthening its social role and promoting scientific awareness among different segments of society, the faculty welcomed children from the Khair Baladna Association for Sustainable Development on the morning of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, for an educational visit to the laboratories of the Department of Physics. The visit was attended by Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The visit was organized in coordination with Prof. Ali Abdel Salam, Head of the Department of Physics. During the visit, Asst. Prof. Fatma El-Zahraa Fakhry, Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, provided a simplified explanation of some scientific experiments, with the participation of Researcher Fatma Abdo and Researcher Asmaa Zein, Demonstrators at the department. They offered the children interactive demonstrations of various physical phenomena and experiments through an engaging and enjoyable approach that helped simplify scientific concepts and reinforce their understanding.
Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, emphasized that the faculty places great importance on fulfilling its community service mission by opening its doors to children and young people to explore science and scientific experiments in a simplified and engaging manner. She noted that such initiatives help nurture their passion for science while fostering a culture of innovation and exploration, in line with Tanta University's vision of promoting social responsibility.
