Faculty of Science, Tanta University, has launched the first activity in its series of summer training programs for third-level students, underscoring the faculty's commitment to developing students' practical skills and preparing them for the labor market through field training at specialized institutions.
Students enrolled in the Special Entomology and Insect Chemistry Program participated in a field training at Al Badran Bee Company, where they were introduced to the latest scientific and practical techniques in honey bee keeping and apiary management. The training also provided them with valuable hands-on experience that will enhance their professional skills and strengthen their competencies in this field.
The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean; Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Nahla Radwan, Head of the Zoology Department. It was supervised by Prof. Yehia Al-Naggar, Professor in the Zoology Department, and Dr. Mohamed Talal, Lecturer at the Zoology Department.
Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam Al-Din emphasized that the faculty continues to implement its plan to expand its summer training programs, recognizing the importance of integrating academic study with practical application. She noted that this approach contributes to preparing graduates who possess both strong scientific knowledge and practical skills capable of meeting the demands of the labor market.
This training is part of a series of field-based programs organized by the faculty during the summer vacation to enrich students' practical experience, increase their learning opportunities, and equip them with the professional competencies required for their future careers.
