The Faculty of Science at Tanta University organized a distinguished seminar on Thursday, December 4, 2025, titled "Occupational Safety and Health." The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, with supervision by Prof. Abeer Abdel Hamid Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Zenoh Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The seminar featured lectures by Dr. Amira Abdel Monem Amin, PhD in Science and Occupational Safety and Health Chemist at the Directorate of Manpower in Gharbia, and Dr. Basma Mohamed Khalaf, PhD in Science and Occupational Safety and Health Chemist at the same directorate.
The seminar addressed important topics concerning the fundamentals of occupational safety and health in workplaces, methods to prevent hazards, and the best practices to achieve a safe environment within educational and research institutions. The event attracted active engagement from students and faculty members, who raised numerous thoughtful questions and participated in fruitful discussions.
