Launch of the Seminar Titled "Acts of Charity in Ramadan" at Tanta Faculty of Science

As part of its efforts to educate and raise awareness among its affiliates, Faculty of Science at Tanta University hosted a religious awareness seminar titled "Acts of Charity in Ramadan" on Monday, March 10, 2025. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of the University, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. It was supervised by Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Faculty Dean; Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Zenhom Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

    The seminar was delivered by Dr. Taha Mohamed Al-Qalla, Lecturer at Faculty of Religious Fundamentals and Preaching at Al-Azhar University, Tanta Branch, and a speaker on Egyptian radio and television.

    Prof. Zeinhem Salem welcomed Dr. Taha Al-Qala, the seminar speaker, along with academic staff members, administrative staff, and students in attendance. In his opening remarks, Dr. Taha Al-Qala highlighted the significance of performing good deeds during the holy month of Ramadan, explaining how Allah Almighty has honored this sacred month. He also discussed the behavior of a true believer during Ramadan and how one can increase acts of charity and worship to gain spiritual strength beyond the holy month.

   Additionally, Prof. Abdel Basset Shokr, a professor at the faculty, delivered an inspiring speech that deeply affected the attendees.

   The seminar concluded with Prof. Zeinhem Salem expressing gratitude to the university and faculty leadership for organizing the event. He extended special thanks to Dr. Taha Al-Qala for his valuable lecture and appreciated the presence of academic staff members and faculty affiliates who attended the seminar.
