The Faculty of Science at Tanta University hosted the public defense of the Master's thesis presented by researcher Safaa Ibrahim Morsi Abu El-Dahab from the Department of Zoology. The thesis is titled "The Effect of Active Metabolites from Black Grapes (Vitis vinifera) on Prostate Cancer Cells."
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Prof. Abeer Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, welcomed the members of the examination and defense committee at her office. The committee was chaired by Prof. Sobhi Hasab El-Nabi, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Zoology at the Faculty of Science, Menoufia University, and Chair of the Permanent Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors in Zoology, who served as the external examiner and chair. Other members included Prof. Mohamed Labib, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Zoology and Secretary of the Permanent Scientific Committee, who served as the internal examiner, Prof. Sayed Salem, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Zoology and former Vice Dean of the Faculty, who supervised the thesis and served as an internal examiner, and Prof. Iman El-Nahas, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, who also served as an internal examiner.
Following the meeting with the committee, the members proceeded to the seminar hall in the Physics Department to conduct the public defense, which was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and staff from the Department of Zoology, as well as the researcher's family.
