Prof. Abeer Alam Al-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Tanta University, and Prof. Amgad Salama, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, on behalf of the faculty community, extend their sincere congratulations to Abla Abdel Raouf Mohamed, a third-level student in the Biotechnology Program, as her team won first place in the internal hackathon held at Tanta University for their project, “Rebekia.”  

   The project team includes students from the Faculties of Science, Business, and Engineering. It presents an innovative approach to transforming the university campus into a Zero Waste Campus through an integrated, technology-supported waste sorting and recycling system, along with a points and rewards system that encourages participation and sustainable practices across the campus.

   Moreover, “Rebekia” won first place among the top student projects selected to represent Tanta University in the “Green Loop Competition: Waste Management in Universities,” held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and organized by the Innovators and Talents Welfare Fund in cooperation with the Leadership Preparation Institute.

   The Faculty of Science expresses its pride in this student achievement and wishes Abla Abdel Raouf and her colleagues continued success, excellence, and creativity, as well as every success in representing Tanta University in the competition.
