Aims

 

- Department of Geology aims at qualifying the graduates to work in the different branches of geology and preparing them to deal with the latest technologies used in the field of Geology.

 

- Moreover, the Department aims at conducting scientific researches derived from the reality of the state that aim at developing the natural wealth sources and solving the environmental problems concerning groundwater and environmental contamination, and there will be researches in the fields of petrol petroleum ) (, mineral ores Mineral Resources) (, desertification and environment geochemistry.

 

-The Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science, Tanta University is considered a scientific model for the Egyptian universities due to its proud history. Thus, the department has taken into consideration that its latest programs must cope with the amazing advancement in Earth Sciences and Information Technology which qualify the graduate to work for oil, gas and groundwater companies and in the fields of mining and stone quarries (gold, radiant minerals, and ornamental and building stones mines). In addition, it enables the graduate to work in the field of scientific research (research centers) and to pursue post-graduate studies (Diploma- Master- PhD) in new and different disciplines.
