Tanta University Announces Winners of the Best Master’s and PhD Theses Awards

Prof. Mustafa Al-Sheikh, Tanta University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced today winners of the best master’s and PhD theses award of 2018 with a total cost of 108 thousand Egyptian pounds.   

Prof. Al-Sheikh has declared that this is considered the first award of its kind to be ratified in the history of Tanta University as a culmination of the strenuous efforts exerted by Postgraduate Studies Sector at the University that applies University strategy as for advancement of scientific research and encouraging researchers to ensure higher world ranking for the University.

The Best PhD Thesis Award in the field of medical sciences was gained by Dr. Mona Farouk Arafa, Lecturer at Department of Pharmaceutical Pharmacy at Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Amal Abdel Monem Sultan, Lecture at the same department. In the field of human sciences, this award was won by Dr. Shimaa Mohammad Youssef, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Curricula and Teaching Methodology at Faculty of Education, and Dr. Bashir Esam Al-Shorbagy, Lecturer of Literature and Criticism at Department of Arabic Language at Faculty of Arts. Moreover, in the field of basic, engineering and agricultural sciences, this award was gained by Dr. Mona Nabil Al-Fiqi, Lecturer at Department of Chemistry at Faculty of Science, and Dr. Fatema Al-Zahraa Fakhry, Lecturer at Department of Physics at Faculty of Science.

In addition, the Best Master’s Thesis Award was gained by Ahmed Salah Abdel Hamid, Pharmacist at Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Department at Faculty of Pharmacy, and Asmaa Ali Kamel, Demonstrator at Department of Biochemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy, in the field of medical sciences. In the field of human sciences, the first award was won by Aya Fathi Sarhan, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Sociology at Faculty of Arts. The second award was gained mutually by Sara Osama Saleh, Technical Member at Primary Education Administration at Faculty of Education, and Wafaa Soliman Al-Gohary, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Comparative Education at Faculty of Education. In the field of basic, engineering and agricultural sciences, this award was gained by Mahmoud Abdel Hamid Soliman, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Physics and Engineering Mathematics at Faculty of Engineering, and Ahmed Reyad Ghazi, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Physics at Faculty of Science.
